Kingsmead School strongly believes that it is the right of every member of the school community to be free from bullying.
All reports of bullying will be treated seriously and in private. Students are urged not to keep quiet, but to take action. They are encouraged to tell the person that they do not like it and to stop, to seek the support of an adult, either at home or school, and to tell a teacher. Teachers will speak to the student who has been accused of bullying and the outcome of this will be told to the student who has alleged the bullying. Appropriate action will be taken where necessary. Parents will be consulted and involved in all serious cases. Records will be kept on student’s files.
Bullies will be excluded from Kingsmead when necessary, and this will be reported to the Governing Body.
