Current Job: Lead Physiotherapist within Inpatient Rehabilitation, North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT)
I am the lead physiotherapist for a team of 6 physiotherapists and two inpatient rehabilitation wards, supporting patients back to independence so they are able and safe to return home.
Pathway: I left Kingsmead 6th Form in 2006 with 3 A-Levels; B in Biology, B in Geography, A in Psychology as well as an NVQ level 3 in Body massage obtained via studying at Enfield College via an evening class.
Further Education: Joined Kings College London University to study physiotherapy.
Completed the 3 year course and qualified in 2009 with a 2:1.
Career: Started work as a junior rotational band 5 physiotherapist in the Oxford University Hospitals Trust (OUH). Remained in this post until 2011, when I moved into a Senior Physiotherapy role, still within OUH.
I moved back to London in 2012 and took a community rehab role as a senior physiotherapist in the summer of 2012 within NELFT.
I have been at NELFT ever since, and continued to develop my knowledge and skills, most recently being seconded into the role of Inpatient and Community rehabilitation manager.
