Welcome to Kingsmead Drama Department
We aim to provide students with a range of opportunities to explore plays, issues and genres in a supportive and exciting environment.
Drama is taught for one hour a week in years 7, 8 and 9. After this students can opt to take drama in Year 10 - this will enable students to gain both a BTEC
and GCSE qualification. Then they can continue studying A Level Drama in Year 12.
We are very fortunate to have three purpose built studios equipped with lighting capability and IWB's. We alsomake full use of Kingsmead's amazing theatre for lessons and performances.
Drama is a unique learning medium and we aim to provide all students with a positive environment of trust and respect where every student has an equal opportunity to participate and succeed in the work.
