WELCOME TO THE GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT

The Geography department is a large department consisting of 5 full-time teachers and 3 part-time.  We offer GCSE Geography following the OCR syllabus, taught in mixed-ability groups.  At A Level we follow Edexcel B syllabus.  In addition at Key Stage 5 we also offer GCSE Leisure and Tourism. 

The department undertakes a variety of extra-curricular activities to enhance and enrich learning including fieldwork and GCSE and A Level revision classes. The department also strongly encourages the exploration and application of the subject beyond the classroom through independent study, research and educational visits including trips to London Zoo and the Thames Water Barrier in order to help contextualize text-based learning

We are developing expertise in ICT and have developed a range of learning activities linked to ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.
