History AS Level is taught at Kingsmead by experienced teachers. It is a demanding but exciting course which is very enjoyable .

In four of the past five years the % of students achieving A or B grade in History A Level has varied between 33% and 75%/ We have has 100% A-E at A2 level for the past four years.

History A Level provides an excellent foundation of knowledge and skills which helps equip students for a variety of degree courses and careers. These range from Law, Accountancy and the Arts to Medicine (the latter combined with other relevant subjects). It is highly regarded by universities and seen as proof that a student is interested in understanding the world around them, has the ability to analyse the processes which have created it, thinks critically and possesses the skills to express that understanding and argue a case.
