As at other schools, photographs, video and digital footage may be taken by appropriate school employees or a member of the press (with the consent of the school) for the purposes of recording an activity or event with the intention or promoting Kingsmead School, our students and their achievements. These images may be displayed within the school, reproduced in school materials e.g. school prospectus, web site or newsletter or feature in the local or national media. Should any parent or carer object to this you must inform in writing Ms T Stevenson, Communications and School Community Manager at school.

It is parents' legal responsibility to see that their child/children attend(s) school. If a student is absent from school a parent or carer MUST ring our attendance line every day the student is absent. The number is:

As with phone calls, please email as soon as possible on the first day of absence and every day that the student is absentWhen your child returns to school they MUST bring a note from home explaining their absence.
Cases of persistent absence have to be referred to the Educational Welfare Service, which discharges the school's statutory responsibility in relation to school attendance (The Education Act 1996). |
