Friday 13th March was lucky for some Year 7 students who had been selected to take part in poetry workshops run by Neal Zetter. Neal performed to the whole year assembly, and then took 5 workshops, encouraging almost 100 pupils to write some really powerful poetry.

Neal Zetter is a regular performer in West End comedy clubs, spent twenty years working in a communications environment, six months as a poetry teacher and two years running a mentoring scheme. Although a comedy poet, Neal Zetter works with all styles/genres.
Neal Zetter runs interactive performance poetry workshops for schools, youth offending teams, theatres/arts centres, youth groups, libraries and for adults in their places of work. His workshops aim to build confidence and communications skills as well as being about poetry. The Year 7 workshops covered a variety of themes including Music, Football, Friendship and Loneliness.
