WELCOME TO THE MATHS DEPARTMENT

Mathematics is a large department consisting of 10 full time mathematics teachers and 2 members who have teaching commitments in other subject areas. Many of these have positions of senior responsibility which include 2 Deputy Head Teachers and Learning and Deputy Learning Directors of Year Groups.

Developing a positive attitude to mathematics, including confidence, enjoyment and perseverance is a fundamental aim of the department. We have a clear departmental ethos to challenge all learners, raise attainment and break down barriers to all and celebrate achievement.

We offer a GCSE in mathematics following the Edexcel modular specification at KS4, also AS and A2 Pure mathematics again with Edexcel.
