KS5 CURRICULUM

Kingsmead is proud to offer Music at both AS & A2 Level.  Students are taught in one group and follow the Edexcel syllabus.

Students develop performance and composition skills as part of their programme of study and complete an exam based around set works.  Each week students are given a 30 min individual vocal or instrumental lesson in order for them to be prepared for their recital.

There are regular opportunities for public performance including end of term concerts, assemblies, a KS5 Chamber concert, School Productions and Charity Concerts for special events such as the Red Nose Day and Breast Cancer Awareness.
