What will be expected from me?
As Sociology studies social groups and institutions, sociology students should approach the subject with an open mind and understanding that sociological views and theories are often required to be challenged, evaluated and examined. There will also be some new terminology with complex sociological words. It is therefore essential that students: are well prepared, attend all lessons, remain focused, participate in individual and group activities and do independent background work as required in order to achieve as good grades as possible.

· AO2 Demonstation of the skills of application, analysis, interpretation and
evaluation of concepts, ideas and research
Homework
You will be expected to do homework and/or preparation after each lesson. Some of this work will involve reading and summarising key points from the textbook or other sources, answering examination questions, completing tables or analysis, as well as preparing for class activities such as discussions, group work, video documentaries or role play.
What will I gain? Where can I study after the course?
Studying Sociology allows a student to observe him(her)self and their environment from more objective, mature, accurate and critical viewpoint. The course provides with extensive and comprehensive sociological knowledge that opens many Higher Education doors.
