What will I be doing during the course?
The course promotes independent learning and analytical skills, critical thinking skills, effective individual and group work, intellectually challenging and rewarding environment. As such, Sociology prepares students for a wide range of Further and Higher Education possibilities and successful career opportunities. The subject focuses on presenting and evaluating sociological theories and research data, and therefore requires well developed understanding skills, ability to interpret and criticise textual data and statistics, as well as ability to draw out creative conclusions and evaluate sociological theories and data.
The course is divided into 4 units and taught according to AQA specification

Entry requirements
In order to cope with humanistic texts, new vocabulary and sociological essays, we recommend that students attain the standard GCSE points score required for entry to study advanced level, together with an intellectual curiosity to look beyond the views of “Joe Public”.
