Latin
"Que modo Sentis Hodie" ... "Ergo sum spel bonae"
To understand this you would have needed to be with the Year 7 students from the Latin group this morning. In just one hour they were having general conversations discussing their names, ages and how they were feeling. Many were "confidens" (confident) as they painted masks for a Latin role play which they hoped would win them laurel wreaths after the judging.
Miss Fisher and Ms Pascali who were "spei bonae" (happy) between mouthfuls of healthy Roman food commented on their students' performance: "They've picked up the accent and intonation really quickly and within an hour they had the outline of a conversation. It's been great!"
