Royal Academy of Art Trip

The Sixth form Art students visited the Klimt and Schiele Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Art.

The exhibition marks the centenary of the two artists deaths in 1918. Seeing both artists’ work exhibited alongside each other, was an amazing opportunity for the students to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between these two early modernist painters.

After seeing this exhibition we then went to The Art Rooms in Victoria to visit our student teacher Miss Kemp’s exhibition of her paintings, she was able to talk to the students about the ideas that form the basis for her work as well as giving the students the opportunity to experience some of the techniques she uses in her paintings.
