Please see below for events and activities happening this half term;
June is Pride Month, please keep an eye out for more information about this.
On the 2nd July we will be hosting our new year seven for a taster day.
We have a Drop Down Week on the penultimate week of this half term. Please see below the rationale for further information, essentially this week will be an opportunity for students to catch up on aspects of the readiness curriculum that have been missed over the last two academic years and provide students with opportunities to access specialist subjects.
This term on the calendar we have a Sports Day scheduled for Thursday 17th June, this will now be absorbed in to the Drop Down Week and in addition we will be holding a race for life on the 9th July, students will need to have raised money to take part, more information to follow. We have Dance & Drama evenings scheduled that will be postponed and our summer concert will now take place on Tuesday 6th July.
In the final week of term there will be a number of trips to Thorpe Park & Kidzania. To support our families after a difficult year and make these trips accessible to all, the school has covered the cost of the transport. We will also have Karl Nova visiting to deliver assemblies and workshops to students in YR7-10, Karl is one of the UK's leading poets and hip hop artists delivering his work in a unique, witty and energetic style.
