A group of year 7 students have been working behind the scenes to make traveling to and from Kingsmead school greener, safer and more enjoyable.
They have regularly met up with representatives from TFL and have been planning some exciting projects to get Kingsmead students more active.
Kingsmead students came up with 3 ideas that they wish to implement: a priority boarding scheme on buses, a free breakfast for cyclists and a secret prize for the highest scoring form in 'walk to school week'.
Students took these ideas to the Dugdale Centre in Enfield, to pitch them to the local council.
After illustrating our schools travel issues with a poem the students proceeded to breakdown the cost of their solutions.
After little deliberation Kingsmead took home the Prize of £250 to begin put their travel plans into action!
Congratulations and well done!
