Year 9 Food Preparation and Nutrition

Year 9 Food Preparation and Nutrition students have been engaging in a range of practical activities to develop their technical skills using knives.  This lesson built on previous learning of using the correct knife holds to cut a range of vegetables into various different sizes and to fillet fish.

In this lesson the students were using their knife skills to portion a chicken. They demonstrated rigour and courage in mastering a new task.
