Jack Petchey Winners

Sir Jack Petchey CBE founded the Jack Petchey Foundation in 1999 to recognise the positive contributions young people make to society and assist them in achieving their potential. We support programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25 in London and Essex and have invested over £110 million in such schemes.

Our major programme, the Achievement Awards is a peer recognition scheme operating in grass roots youth clubs, youth organisations, secondary schools and uniformed organisations. There are currently over 2,000 schemes running. The young award winners choose how best to spend their £250 award money to the benefit of their club or school – that is over £3 million being invested in youth activity every year!

The Foundation is also eager to help young people take advantage of opportunities, develop their full potential and play an active role in society. To do this we support a number of programmes ranging from sport to science. This includes the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, the world’s largest public speaking competition for young people and Step into Dance, the UK’s biggest inclusive dance programme for secondary school pupils.

This Year 11 student is very hard working having attained two A*s in year 10. He is an exceptional student over achieving in many of his subjects. He is incredibly caring and always willing to help students understand the work. He is an exemplar student and never fails to behave! He is a very nice, funny person with a very positive frame of mind. Always polite with a can do mind-set that embodies the very ethos of Kingsmead.
